2012 Purple and Old Gold Award - Sociology

The Purple and Old Gold Award is awarded annually by the faculty to the most outstanding graduating senior in each departmental major - sociology, anthropology, and criminology. This year's sociology award winner, Sydney Hibler, is excited to relocate with her husband through the Army. She plans on working for the government or in the non-profit sector, and going to graduate school in the future to earn her master's in sociology, human rights, or genocide studies.
