2011 Purple and Old Gold Award-Anthropology

The Purple and Old Gold Award is awarded anually by the faculty to the most outstanding graduating senior in each major. Meredith Hild plans to pursue graduate study with a focus in either linguistics or social and religious practices of various cultures. Her future career goal is to work for a conservation group or the National Geographic Society. Her ambition is to open others’ eyes just as her own were opened in her first anthropology class in Human Origins.
