Seminars

Seminars provide a forum for the integration of knowledge from various courses within the program and for discussion of professional concerns. They also enable students to get to know one another and to exchange ideas on important public policy issues.

The Research Seminar in Public Policy (PUBPOL 6205, 1 hr) holds eight or nine sessions each semester. Students enroll in the seminar three times during their program. (For full-time students, usually the Fall and Spring Semesters of their first year and the Spring Semester of their second year).

Ethics in Public Policy (PHIL 6510, 2 hrs) considers ethical questions which face practitioners of public policy analysis and the application of ethical principles to public policy.
