Industrial/Organizational Certificate

To apply for the Certificate in I/O Psychology, please fill out the online I/O Certificate Application Form at the following location:

Required: PSYCH 2301, PSYCH 3304, and PSYCH 3305 (9 hours)

Electives (choose 2 courses--6 hours): 

  Management: MGMT 3919; MGMT 3965; MGMT 3966   

  Ethics in Business:  MGMT 3974 OR RELS 3540 OR PHIL 3540     

  Psychology: PSYCH 2203; PSYCH 3404; PSYCH 3502 

  Communication Studies:  COMM 4134; COMM 4155  

Total hours for I/O certificate                            15 hrs

Choice of courses and subsequent course prerequisites may increase the length of this program.

 PSYCH 2203, 2301, 3304, 3305, 3404, and 3502 have a prerequisite of PSYCH 1001, which may be used to satisfy Category 5B of the Liberal Arts Core.

 MGMT 3965 has prerequisites of MGMT 3153, STAT 1772 or equivalent, and ECON 1011. STAT 1772 may be used to   satisfy Category 1C of the Liberal Arts Core.

 MGMT 3966 has a prerequisite of MGMT 3153.

 COMM 4134 has a prerequisite of MGMT 3153 or COMM 2155, and COMM COR 2020.

 COMM 4155 has a prerequisite of COMM 2155 and COMM COR 2020.
