The Department of History offers students interested in discovering the past and learning critical research and analysis skills a variety of options to best pursue their career goals. Faculty offer courses in a broad array of chronological and geographic, areas, including the United States, Latin America, Medieval and Modern Europe, the Ancient World, China, Japan, and India, and Africa. Additionally, faculty offer courses in their thematic specializations including Diplomatic, Legal, Military, Urban, Nationalism/Colonialism, Race/Ethnicity, Women's, Environmental, Cultural, and Public History.
Undergraduate students can choose from a several degree possibilities:
- Bachelor of Arts in History (Liberal Arts)
- Bachelor of Arts in History (Teaching)
- Minor in History
- Public History Certificate
