Three UNI Geography students earn NASA-ISGC Scholarships/Fellowships

Three UNI Geography students earned Iowa Space Grant Consortium (NASA ISGC) Fellowships  or Scholarships for 2012-2013.  Focusing on employing High-Altitude Ballooning for enhancing STEM learning, Kara Poppe (undergraduate) and Brian Swedberg (undergraduate) will support Dr. Oberle (Geography) and Dr. Ophus (Biology) for the 2012-2015 UNI Base Program from NASA ISGC.  Tesfay Russell (graduate) will assist Dr. Petrov (Geography) with remote sensing research that will complete the previous years' Base Program.  Congratulations to these three students who will each earn $7,000 in scholarship/fellowship funding for this academic year!
