About the Annual CSBS Student Research Conference

Welcome to the official website of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences annual student conference held at the University of Northern Iowa. Every year the conference attracts presentation of scholarly projects from diverse departments at UNI and other regional schools and universities. The conference provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to exchange ideas, present research, and learn more about the developments in social sciences.

Students can attend seminars, lectures, and panel discussions. These often deal with future possibilities and job prospects after graduating in the social sciences, current research focus in the fields, and graduate education in the social sciences. Each year we a have keynote speaker who has made invaluable contributions to the social sciences.

The conference will be held on April 9, 2016, at the University of Northern Iowa. In the past the conference has received poster and oral submissions from a variety of social science fields including psychology, sociology, anthropology, criminology, social work, history, geography, political science, design, textiles, gerontology, and family studies. Please note that we accept all stages of research.

All undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to register and participate in this conference. Please avoid on the spot registration to help us get an accurate head count to make arrangements for lunch and refreshments.

We hope to see you there!
