  • New Online Master of Engineering in Engineering Management

    The College of Engineering is excited to introduce this new program which focuses on developing an individual’s engineering, science, and management skills so they can succeed in a technology driven environment. This program is designed to train leaders who can meet both the technical and managerial challenges in developing modern complex engineered systems.

    Our flexible online delivery provides professionals the opportunity to continue their education and advance their careers without having to step foot on the ISU campus.  ELO courses are of the same high quality and contain the same content as their on-campus equivalents.  Students may take up to 9 credits as a non-degree seeking student, so it is possible to begin your studies before formal admittance into the program.

University of Iowa

  • Online Master of Arts in Strategic Communication

    The University of Iowa School of Journalism and Mass Communication has received Board of Regents approval for an online program that offers a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication.

    The program was created to serve professionals in marketing, public relations, public communication, health communication, corporate communication and other careers requiring strong communication skills. Courses are held in the evenings and on weekends at the Pappajohn Education Center in Des Moines and to distance learners via a virtual classroom in a single session per week. The degree program lets students complete the required 30 credit hours of coursework at their own pace by taking a class or two each semester. (Students may also take single courses without applying for admission to the degree program.) Many courses include the latest advances in technologies and platforms for social media outreach and content production.

University of Northern Iowa

  • Environmental Health Certificate Online

    Designed for students and professionals who share interest in the relationships between human health and the environment, this certificate program focuses on topics such as water quality, solid waste problems, air quality and public health concerns.

    Your certificate can be obtained without attending courses on campus. Within time guidelines, you have the flexibility to access course materials and submit work on a schedule that fits your lifestyle. Courses in this program are offered online using eLearning, a Blackboard learning management system requiring Internet access and a web browser.
