Sample course sequence

32 TOTAL CREDIT HOURS REQUIRED All courses 3 credit hours unless otherwise stated.

A minimum of 32 credit hours is required to complete the program. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is not required for admission. Successful completion of a final paper is required. The mathematics courses in this program will be designed, and in some cases developed, to meet the graduate level content needs of middle grades mathematics teachers. This program of coursework does not lead to a middle school teaching certification.

Courses in this program are offered primarily using WebCT, a computer conferencing program requiring Internet access and a web browser — no additional software is required. Students may need access to someone who can assist with computer set-up. Courses during the fall and spring semesters will occur online.
