Designed for students and professionals who share interest in the relationships between human health and the environment, this certificate program focuses on topics such as water quality, solid waste problems, air quality and public health concerns. The goal of this certificate is to foster a deep understanding of how environmental conditions and protections can impact and enhance human health status.

Completion of 15 credit hours is required. You may complete the certificate for either undergraduate or graduate credit.

Online delivery puts resources at your fingertips

UNI faculty members teach program courses online utilizing web pages and MyCourses, a computer conferencing program. To participate, you will need reliable Internet access and basic knowledge of word processing and using a web browser. No additional software or specialized skills are needed, and technical assistance is available.

Flexible course design keeps working adults in mind

Your certificate may be obtained without attending courses on campus. Within time guidelines, you will have the flexibility to access course materials and submit work on a schedule that fits your lifestyle. In addition, you will have the opportunity to interact and share ideas with colleagues from a variety of backgrounds who share a common interest in how human health and the environment interlock.
