About UNI
Our mid-sized state university is comfortably nestled in the town of Cedar Falls. The campus, consisting of 40 major buildings on approximately 900 acres, can be crossed in a quick 10-minute stroll. With student enrollment around 14,000, class sizes are small enough to receive one-on-one attention from faculty, yet large enough to facilitate a variety of perspectives. About Iowa
Iowa is located right in the "American Heartland" of the midwestern United States, with a state population just more than 3 million. The climate is ever-changing, with a full four seasons with the summer bringing the nationally-known RAGBRAI event (the Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) in which thousands of bicyclists ride from one side of the state to the other. There's plenty to do around the state and region, indoors and out.
