Course Organization
Each lesson will have an assigned reading in the textbook. This will be indicated first. Next is a section headed "Comments." These comments are intended as an aid in studying the reading in the text. In addition, they explain parts of the reading assignment that might not be entirely clear to you.
At the end of the chapter there are some self-examination questions. The answers are found in Appendix B which begins on page B-1. These questions should be completed as a review of the chapter material, and if questions arise the relevant portions of the chapter should be reviewed prior to proceeding to the written assignment.
The assigned written work should not be attempted until the assigned reading in the text has been studied carefully. If, however, you have difficulty in working the assigned exercises and problems, refer to the illustrations in the chapter.
Exams
There are five exams. Each exam will be valued at approximately 100 points.
Grading
