Overview

Introduction to reporting financial information regarding the operating, investing, and financing activities of business enterprises.

Course Organization

Each lesson will have an assigned reading in the textbook. This will be indicated first. Next is a section headed "Comments." These comments are intended as an aid in studying the reading in the text. In addition, they explain parts of the reading assignment that might not be entirely clear to you.

Please remember to read and study the textbook material carefully as this will be your source for assistance in completing the written assignments. Since this is a guided independent course you will not have an instructor available at all times to answer questions and explain reading material.

At the end of each chapter is an illustrative problem that illustrates the material covered in the chapter. The written work in each lesson should not be attempted until the assigned reading in the text has been studied carefully. If, however, you have difficulty in working the assigned exercises and problems, refer to the illustrations in the chapter.
