Music Education (MM)
This program is designed for those wishing to earn a Master of Music in Music Education. Develop leadership skills as an accomplished teacher, enhance your teaching credentials, advance your pay scale, gain access to current educational trends and issues and broaden your perspectives on music education.
New cohort to begin Fall 2013
Please note: Students interested in earning the MM degree are required to take the Departmental Diagnostic Examination. The purpose of this examination is to identify your strengths and weaknesses in music history and music theory. The diagnostic examination is used as a formative assessment to help guide your course of study. It is not used as a criteria for admissions decisions.
Convenient course delivery
Summer sessions include some in-person instruction at UNI, set on a beautiful 900-acre campus. The city of Cedar Falls is a charming community, complete with a nationally recognized historic downtown, more than 100 miles of recreational trails, and a variety of cultural and entertainment experiences within walking distance of downtown.
Delivery of this program is contingent on a sufficient number of students being accepted into the program.
