Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

The University of Northern Iowa is proposing to offer an Educational Leadership doctoral program in the Des Moines area starting summer 2009. The program provides practicing educators the opportunity to continue their study and earn the Ed.D. It is possible to combine doctoral degree study and study leading to licensure in the principalship or superintendency. Read detailed program information from the College of Education

Course delivery

Courses in this program are offered via interactive video conferencing methods (including the Iowa Communications Network) one night per week during fall and spring semesters in the Des Moines area. Some courses and coursework are offered online using eLearning, a Blackboard learning management system requiring Internet access and a web browser. Summer sessions may include some in-person instruction on the UNI campus.
