Program highlights

  • Designed for classroom teachers who hold licensure in one of the Iowa Early Childhood Endorsements (100, 103, 106, 262), and who are teaching children from birth through third grade.
  • Includes courses addressing curriculum issues, technology, literacy, diversity, assessments, full inclusion and research.
  • Delivered on a cohort basis, the next cohort begins Fall 2013.
  • One course is offered each fall and spring semester, with one to two courses offered each summer.

Course delivery

Courses in this program are offered online using eLearning, a learning management system requiring Internet access and a web browser. Some courses include a real-time connection through interactive video conferencing methods, such as Adobe Connect, on Monday evenings. While most students encounter very few technical difficulties with our online courses, our team of support specialists is available to assist you as needed.
