The course examines various approaches to mentoring preservice teachers and strategies to reap the greatest mutual benefit from the Level 2 field experience. Topics include setting expectations, encouraging greater involvement and benefit from the preservice teacher, coaching and problem solving strategies, collaborating with the UNI field experience coordinator, facilitating the lesson planning process, and understanding the UNI Level 2 Teacher Work Sample.
