Continuing Education Credit Programs provides the management and logistical support for UNI's distance education courses and programs.
- initiates contact with departments and professors to encourage the development and delivery of distance education courses and programs
- assists professors and departments with the planning and coordination of curriculum
- provides a contact point for all distance education inquiries from departments, instructors and students
- routes an approval form for signatures from the instructor, dean and graduate dean, if a graduate course
- provides course promotion and publicity, including arranging informational meetings as needed
- schedules ICN rooms and provide technical assistance
- provides instructional development assistance and training as needed for ICN and web courses
- orders and coordinates textbooks
- registers students
- provides secretarial assistance, including reproducing course materials
- mails materials such as syllabi and library access information
- bills student or employer for tuition
- arranges and pays for proctors as needed
- pays instructor overload compensation
- pays travel, lodging and meal expenses
- sends grade sheets to instructors and the Registrar
- provides an opportunity for faculty and course evaluations
