On behalf of our members, I would like to welcome you to the ACCS web site.

Since its establishment about two decades ago, the Association for Chinese Communication Studies (ACCS) has grown into an important professional organization, affiliated with the National Communication Association (NCA). ACCS is a diverse and dynamic organization composed of members from around the world including the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Singapore, and the Mainland China. Our members use humanistic, interpretative and social scientific methods to examine communication processes and patterns in a variety of contexts. The ACCS members have published many books and articles in top-tiered communication journals. Through research, teaching and services, ACCS members continue the fine heritage of contributing to the political, social, cultural and global environment in which we all live.

In a field of study that is being transformed by the ever-changing technologies and the unprecedented movement toward globalization, ACCS members are becoming active in organizing and participating in international conferences with the goal of advancing human interactions and fostering better understanding among the global community of nations.

If you share our interest in studying intercultural communication, Chinese culture and communication, and you would like to join us, please contact our secretary, Dr. Canchu Lin at clin@bgsu.edu.

This web site is your entry into our ACCS community. Feel free to email us with your queries and suggestions.
