The Grout Museum

Save the date: the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum will hold its grand opening on November 15, 2008, as an extension of the current Grout Museum. Due to construction, the Grout Museum is closed to the public until that date.

The Grout Museum of History and Science, located in downtown Waterloo, offers a glimpse of the past. Focusing on Iowa history from 1833 to the present, the time Iowa has been open for settlement, the museum offers a wide variety of exhibits including The Maytag Car, 1915 Waterloo Boy, Rath Packing Company whistle, and the Pioneer Hall Mural. On a Saturday afternoon stop by and catch one of the three planetarium shows that are put on throughout the day. Just another great reason to stop by and see the Grout Museum.
