Media Research Innovator Dick Haynes to Deliver Keynote at Fast Forward 9
Dick Haynes, senior vice president of research at Frank N. Magid Associates, Inc., will be the keynote speaker at the ninth annual Fast Forward Electronic Media Workshop on Friday, Oct. 18 at UNI.
Since he joined the firm in 1979, Haynes has been instrumental in many of the research innovations and success stories of Magid, an international media consulting firm based in Marion, Iowa, and with offices in Minneapolis, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Dallas. In his work, Haynes has been directly involved with television and cable networks, working to improve client performance in news and entertainment.
Other speakers at the workshop include Deene Ehlis, the voice of the Iowa Cubs; Jerry Gallagher, assistant news director, and co-anchor/co-producer of the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts at WQOW News in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Tim Seelinger, senior editor and manager of in-house post-production at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Seventeen other speakers join them to lead 14 different workshops throughout the day.
In its ninth year, UNI’s Fast Forward Electronic Media Workshop continues to bring top working media professionals to lead workshops on their craft at the University of Northern Iowa.
