John O. Burtis
My research is in leadership and group (mis-)communication. I believe that communication studies should help us learn how to co-construct the best communities we can.
At U.N.I. I teach group communication, persuasion, communication theories, and whatever else the department requires of me.
In previous lives I was a Director of Forensics (intercollegiate debate and speech--at Kansas State University; Concordia College), a Director of a Leadership Center (at Concordia College), a line worker in a soda factory, and a 4-H club member.
