Hollywood editor Josh Bodnar to speak at University of Northern Iowa
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Emmy Award-winning Hollywood video editor and motion graphics artist Josh Bodnar will walk through the creative process of one of the most talked about main title sequences in recent history, "Dexter," at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center second floor Lounge/Auditorium.
Bodnar will connect the common threads of his creative process through different mediums: art, advertising and entertainment. He will explain how storyboards, visual effects, type design, picture editing, sound design and client relations all play a part in how an idea is visualized. Bodnar will also discuss Dexter from concept to completion and show never-before-seen edits rejected by the client.
Bodnar is internationally recognized for his strong storytelling abilities and has worked with clients such as Showtime, HBO, AMC, Verizon, Google, Nike and Anheuser-Busch. In 2007, he won an Emmy for his editing on "Dexter." Bodnar is based out of Los Angeles, Calif., and currently works as a staff editor at the editorial boutique Whitehouse.
