Research Interests

My research interests include electronic home shopping, the role of interpersonal theory and mass communication theory in public relations, and crisis communication.

Personal/Professional Interests

I am an Associate Professor at the University of Northern Iowa in the public relations program, and the author of Public Relations: Designing Effective Communication. My articles appear in Communication Reports, Popular Culture Review, and International Society for Exploring Teaching Alternatives.

I live with 50 "stuffed" teddy bear friends who keep a close eye on me!
