Department of Communication Studies

Enrollment Policies

You may indicate an interest in a major or minor in the Department of Communication Studies anytime after you have been admitted to UNI. However, before you are a declared major or minor, you must complete specific requirements for your major/minor.

This page outlines the requirements from the 2014-2016 catalog that you must meet in order to be declared for each of the majors and minors offered by the Department of Communication Studies. Once these requirements are complete, you need to file a Declaration of Curriculum Form (if you have been admitted as a pre-major/minor, you need to file a new form) with the Department (Lang 326).

You can figure out your GPA for your major course components (below) with this online tool.
