Electronic Media Student Work Appears in Documentary to Premiere

A documentary on immigration to Waterloo, Iowa will premiere on September 21, 2013 at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum in Waterloo.

A Home in the Heartland  was produced and directed by Don Fish (a 1980 UNI graduate who lives in Maryland).  Shelby Gappa and Mike Herrold, two UNI e-media students, worked on location in Waterloo with Fish, and are in the credits for "additional photography" (Grappa) and "field audio" (Herrold).

The credits also thank the Department of Communication Studies, broadcast engineer Ken Paschke, and Electronic Media Professor Ronnie Bankston.
