Communication-Theatre Education
UNI is the only Iowa Regents university with a Communication-Theatre Education major. The program prepares students for teaching Communication and Theatre (including speech communication, debate, and theatre) for grades 5-12. The major and minor are currently being restructured, but we expect the revised program to be accepting new students in early 2014.
Below, we are happy to provide a preview to the new major and minor, as approved by the Departments of Communication Studies and Theatre, and the UNI Secondary Teacher Education Committee. For more information, contact the Communication Studies or Theatre Departments.
