Major Courses

 

The undergraduate major in Communicative Disorders includes a required core of 38 credit hours of course work in speech, language, and hearing sciences and disorders. These courses cover anatomy and physiology of the speech and hearing mechanisms, normal development of speech and language, speech and hearing science, and introductory courses in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Additionally, the student must take an approved course in statistics (3 units.), and seven credit hours from either Option 1 or Option 2 below, for a total of 48 credit hours.
