Sen. Tim Kraayenbrink


Tim went on to attend Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1978. He attended on a football scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education in 1982.  From 1982-1988, Tim was a teacher in the Northwest Webster School District in Barnum, Iowa. While a high school industrial arts teacher, Tim also was head football coach and coached multiple other sports.  Tim Kraayenbrink went on to be a small business owner of Kraayenbrink Financial Services in Fort Dodge, Iowa since 2007. He has been a financial advisor since 1988, when he began working as a District Representative for Aid Association for Lutherans/Thrivent Financial.  Tim Kraayenbrink is currently in his first term in the Iowa Senate representing the constituents of Senate District 5. The 2015 Iowa Senate Session began on January 12 and will run for 110 days. Tim Kraayenbrink will serve on the Appropriations, Education and Transportation Senate Committees.
