Special Education Consultant
Students who hold or will be holding a Master of Arts Degree in Special Education or who hold a Master=s Degree in Education may receive the Special Education consultant endorsement by successfully completing the following program from the University of Northern Iowa.
Option 1: Complete the Master of Arts in Education - Special Education Consultant Emphasis
Option 2: Complete the Master of Arts
in Education and 30 graduate hours in Special Education, instructional.
These hours may be a part of, or in addition to, the degree requirements.

Other Requirements:
1. The student must hold Special Education certification in the disabilitycategory in which they intend to hold Consultant endorsement.
2. The student must have four years of successful teaching experience,two of which are congruent with the Special Education Consultant certification desired.
