Ed McBain, American detective novelist, is extremely popular in Slovakia. A line of over 100 fans lined up to get their books signed by him. He and the British detective novelist, Dick Francis, are among the most popular foreign authors in Slovakia. Most of their works have been translated into Slovak. April, 1997.
