Both Reading Recovery teachers and teacher leaders continue to extend and refine their understandings and expertise through professional development opportunities.  Reading Recovery teacher leaders meet in all-day sessions several times each year with support from Dr. Salli Forbes, the Reading Recovery trainer and Director of the Reading Recovery Center of Iowa in the College of Education at the University of Northern Iowa.  The pictures were taken during the ongoing professional development session on April 13, 2011 at the Schindler Education Center on the UNI campus.
