Today, the Orava Project is institualized within the Slovak Education System. Teachers, University Pedagogical professors, school directors, deliver the program to their colleagues. Hardly a day goes by without an in-service program being delivered. Educators are now going beyond Slovakia to teach in neighboring countries. As though this were not amazing enough, the Soros foundation learned about our work in Slovakia and asked us to develop a program for them. With other colleagues and partners, we did so using the Orava model for teacher in-service. Over the past four years that program, the Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking Program (RWCT), has been implemented in 24 additional counties of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
