| 210:116g | Psychology of Adolescence (2 semester hours) |
| 210:135g | Middle Level Socialization and Instruction (3 semester hours) |
| 230:116 or 117g | Methods of Teaching Literacy (3 semester hours) |
| 210:150g | Middle Level Curriculum (3 semester hours) |
| 210:122 | Classroom Management: Middle Level (3 semester hours) |
It depends on what liberal arts courses you have already taken. Therefore, your best course of action is to immediately contact:

Undergraduate
Students! If you are already a
student at UNI, contact Cathy
Humke in the
Registrar's Office (319-273-2245) and ask her to analyze your
transcript to determine what courses you need for the middle level
education major and endorsement. If you will be an incoming freshman or undergraduate
transfer student,
contact Jane Bentley-Gadow
in the
College of Education Advising Center (319-273-2311). The COE
Advising Center can set up an appointment for you to discuss your
options. or contact Dr.
Donna Schumacher Douglas, to discuss general questions. If you are NOT a UNI student, contact the Iowa State
Department of Education, Board of Educational Examiners in Des Moines,
Iowa for information about the Middle School Teacher Endorsement. They will help assist you in determining what courses you need to take. |
Be sure your revised program of study is filed with Cathy Humke in the UNI Registrar's Office.
