Contributors
Iftikhar Ahmad is Associate Professor of Education at
Long Island University, C.W. Post campus. He completed his graduate studies at
Columbia University. His research on civic education and multicultural education
has been published in Teachers College Record, Educational Studies,
Social Education, The Journal of Social Studies, The Journal of
Peace Education, and The Journal of Aesthetic Education. His new book
Teaching about the Muslim World in Social Studies is being published by
Temple University Press.

Alfiee Breland-Noble is an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Director of the AAKOMA
Project at the Duke University Medical Center.

Francis Dominic Degnin is an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Philosophy & Religion at the University of Northern Iowa,
where he teaches and serves the community in medical ethics. His research
interests encompass philosophy and the humanities, with particular interest in
medical ethics, questions of death & dying, and the application of Emmanuel
Levinas’ thought to basic human and ethical questions. He earned six college
degrees, including a Doctorate in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University, a
Master’s in Philosophy from Villanova University, a Master’s in Pastoral
Ministry from Seattle University, and undergraduate degrees in Philosophy,
Psychology, Religion, and Mathematics. He also completed two years of full time
clinical training at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

Sarah Birmingham Drummond is Associate Dean of the
Faculty and Assistant Professor of Ministerial Leadership at Andover Newton
Theological School. She remains interested in the Programs for the Theological
Exploration of Vocation and currently serves the Evaluation Project at
Valparaiso University as an Evaluation Coach for several Programs.

Matthew A. Miller is a psychologist in the Professional Psychological
Services Division of the Faith Church Family Care Ministry in Waterford,
Michigan.

Robert C. Spach has served as the Chaplain of Davidson
College in Davidson, NC since 1993. An ordained Presbyterian Church (USA)
minister, he received his M.A. from the University of Virginia, his M.Div. from
Princeton Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Seminary. His
articles and book reviews have appeared in The Sixteenth Century Journal
and The Christian Century. He is married and has two children.
