Call for Papers


The Journal of Assessment and Accountability in Educator Preparation (JAAEP) is now accepting submissions. Manuscripts are accepted at any time during the year; however, those received by January 31, 2013 will be considered for inclusion in the next issue of the journal. Please see "Guidelines for Authors" for additional information.

There are more than a thousand institutions preparing teachers and other practitioners for work in schools in the United States alone. Each one of these institutions is required to have an assessment system which provides data about individual candidates and which also provides aggregated candidate data as well as other data useful for program evaluation

Journal of Assessment and Accountability in Educator Preparation is a peer-reviewed, online periodical intended to:

  1. Provide an accessible location for scholarly and practical work related to accountability systems in teacher, and other school practitioner, preparation programs.
  2. Facilitate the exchange of ideas and practices in this area.
