Overview
This room has a Promethean interactive white board installed. The console has equipment that projects images and audio. Each console includes a Dell computer with CD/DVD/CD-RW drives and two USB ports, a DVD/VCR, and a document viewer for overhead images.
IRTS recommends that users of these rooms consider storing their data on the COE server so that they may readily retrieve it when using these computers, and other SEC rooms, e.g., lecture halls.
Powering equipment On/Off
Turn on / off each component separately. The computer can be left on all the time. It will go into sleep mode and will “wake up” when you move the mouse or use the keyboard.
Promethean and DVD/VCR remotes are located inside the console.
Point LCD remote towards the screen to power On/Off the LCD projector
  1. Use the Promethean remote to turn on the Promethean projector. The projector will take at least 30 seconds to warm up before an image will appear.
  2. To Display the Computer or Document Viewer. Press COMPUTER button on the promethean remote (point towards promethean screen). Next, power on the document viewer (Elmo) and select/press either the “PC” botton to display computer or the “Camera” button to display the document viewer.
  3. To display DVD/VCR, press the VIDEO button on the Promethean remote.
  4. To use the promethean screen as a WHITEBOARD, open Activinspire software by clicking on its icon located on the Windows Desktop of the computer.
•IMPORTANT: Power off the Promethean board and document viewer when done.
