121 and 122 Operating Multimedia Console |
| Overview Each Console has equipment that projects images and audio separately for its respective room. Each console includes a G5 Macintosh computer, a VCR, and an Elmo projector for overhead images. The G5s have a CD, DVD, CD-RW drive. Zip 250. One USB and one 6-pin FireWire 400 port on front. USB, FireWire 400 and FireWire 800 ports on back.. |
| However, the console in SEC 122 has the capability of projecting video, computer images and audio to both rooms simultaneously. |
| IRTS recommends that users of these rooms consider storing their data on the COE server so that they may readily retrieve it when using these computers, and other SEC rooms, e.g., lecture halls. |
| Powering
equipment On/Off The power button located inside the left door, upper right hand corner, should always be left on. Turn on / off each component separately. The computer can be left on all the time. It will go into sleep mode and will “wake up” when you move the mouse or use the keyboard. |
| LCD and VCR remotes are located inside the console near the VCR. |
| Point LCD remote towards the screen to power On/Off the LCD projector |
| • To display computer press the "Input 1 " button |
| • To display VCR press the "Input 3 " button. |
| • To display Elmo projector press the "Input 4 " button. |
| • Power on/off the document viewer with Elmo power switch. |
| • Important: Power off the LCD & Elmo projector when done. |
| • No power to the LCD? Check the power switch located on the wall behind each console. |

| • Separate button – Returns consoles to separate room use. |
