Don Briggs began at the University of Northern Iowa in 1974 as an
assistant wrestling coach and instructor in the Physical Education
department. He served as an assistant wrestling coach from 1974-1981
and then was the head wrestling coach from 1982-1997. Since 1997,
Briggs has taught outdoor pursuits program, teaching courses in rock
climbing, ice climbing, backpacking, canoing and a variety of wellness
classes.
