Professional Experience
Assistant Director, Informal Recreation and Aquatics, 1997- present
•  Implementing campus wide informal recreation and aquatics program.

•  Implementing campus wide special events and family programs for students, faculty
and staff.

•  Responsible for policy development as well as managing a $175,000 budget for student personnel plus supplies and services.

•  Developed and currently implementing student personnel staff handbook as well as risk management procedures for Wellness and Recreation Services. Also, responsible for training student staff in OSHA required Bloodborne Pathogen Training.

•  Supervising 7 student facility managers and 16 informal recreation supervisors operating the 248,000 square foot Wellness and Recreation Center as well as the 16,000 seat UNI-DOME.

•  Supervising 35 student lifeguards operating the Wellness and Recreation Center Natatorium (2 pools).

•  Responsible for evaluating programs and services, student personnel, as well as marketing and promotional activities.

•  Acting as departmental liaison to UNI Aquatics Committee and the University Recreation/ Athletic Facilities Risk Management Committee.
