Biography
|
Dr. Phillips joined the physical education program at UNI in the Fall of 1975. She has taught a variety of activity courses to both major students and general university students and coached women's tennis at UNI for four years. For the first ten years Dr. Phillips also officiated women's collegiate volleyball and basketball having officiated at several national volleyball tournaments. Dr. Phillips has also taught a Presidential Scholars class and an Honors class dealing with sociology of sport and society. She is currently teaching Administration and Curriculum in Physical Education; Teaching Methods Block-Secondary; Curriculum Theory and Design in Physical Education; and Fundamental Physical Activities: Tennis/Badminton. Dr. Phillips was the physical education coordinator for nine years. She is currently the faculty director of the Polar Scholar Graduate Program in the Grundy Center Community Schools.
