The School Psychology Program at the University of Northern Iowa actively seeks graduate students who have an interest in and dedication to working collaboratively in school settings with children, their parents, and teachers. Successful graduate students will have strong written and oral communication skills, the willingness and ability to think critically, independent work skills, and the ability to work well with others. They will demonstrate respect for human diversity, ethical responsibility, adaptability, and initiative/dependability. The program values an enthusiasm for learning, a dedication to supporting diverse learners, and a commitment to reflective practice and lifelong learning.

If you currently have a Bachelor’s degree, you need to apply to the MAE: Educational Psychology program. On the application form under #10, the major title is ‘Ed Psych: Context & Techniques of Assessmnt’ and the major code is ‘296.’

If you have already earned a Master’s degree, you apply to the Ed.S.: School Psychology program. On the application form under #10, the major title is ‘EdS: School Psychology’ and the major code is ‘293.’
