POSITION: Two year term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Instructor if ABD) in the Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs graduate program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Postsecondary Education. The position will be available August 2013, with possibility for summer appointment.
Candidates are sought to complement the existing strengths of the faculty in a spirit of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. Candidates should be intellectually curious and committed to: teaching, student and program development; scholarship; and enhancing our connections with practitioners in the field. The selected candidate would contribute to community building among students, faculty, and practitioners.
RANK/SALARY: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include TIAA-CREF and IPERS retirement plans, group life insurance, disability, medical, and dental insurance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate or ABD in Student Affairs, Higher Education or related field, three years of professional experience in higher education, and evidence of or potential for scholarship. It is desired that the successful candidate has a mix of the following experiences and interests: college teaching/student affairs practice; working with diverse populations; knowledge appropriate to the student affairs graduate program curriculum; and research methodologies.

· Teach graduate level courses in the Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs Master’s Program
· Supervise student practica and internships
· Advise students and guide them in the development of learning portfolios and theses
· Conduct research and service relative to postsecondary education and student affairs
