Position Description:
Assists with the planning, development, implementation, and coordination of programs, activities, and services of the Center for Multicultural Education under the direction of and in consultation with the Assistant Director for Multicultural Education; works closely with the clerical and other student staff of the CME in the creation of publicity for its programs and activities; reserves the CME for different campus and community organizations and responds to inquiries related to racial and ethnic group relations through CME resources or referrals; generally supervises CME student staff with regards to programming; coordinates meetings of the Multicultural Student Advisory Board; works with student workers and students generally to survey the types of programs and activities they wish to have on campus; assists the Assistant Director and clerical staff in the presentation of CME programming to University divisions and departments, student organizations, and community agencies; supports the operation and management of the center as directed by Assistant Director.
