The Superintendency Preparation Program
 
 
  • Program Requirements and Outcomes Based on the Iowa Standards for School Leaders (ISSL) Integrated with the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) Standards
  • Thirty-three Credit Hours Delivered through eight Courses and extensive internship
  • A New Cohort Begins Each Year With the Spring Semester (January)
  • Two and One-Half Year Program
  • One week on the UNI Campus the First Summer Students are Enrolled in the Program
  • Program Delivered via the web and the Iowa Communications Network (ICN) and WebCT to Sites throughout Iowa

  • Practicum is Integrated with Every Course Emphasizing Performance-Based Standards
  • Reflective Practice, Practicum, and Internship Integrated Throughout the Program
  • Instruction Grounded in Leadership Theory and Practice
