This symposium was held in April of 2009 as a way for UNI Counseling students nearing graduation to present posters on a topic and meet with new students. The symposium was held in the Reading Room at Seerly Hall. To view an image gallery of the event, click here.

Tibetan school counseling graduate students Dhondup and Dhundul Thokmey visited Grundy Center Schools Tuesday September 15, 2009. They spoke in Steve Hinderhofer's exploratory class focused on diversity and culture. Thokmey, who teaches Tibetan history, shared important information about history, geography, and culture in a power-point presentation. Dhondup, who teaches mathematics, played a traditional guitar and sang. Superintendent John Stevens was in attendance and both he and Mr. Hinderhofer received a white scarf which is a symbol of greeting in Tibet. To view an image gallery of the event, click here.
