
Physical Education
- The Physical Education Program has a rich history and tradition. The Division is dedicated to preparing professionals to plan and lead activities that promote, encourage, and enrich the physical well-being of individuals.
- Degrees are offered at two levels: Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education Teaching and Movement & Exercise Science. Minors are available in Coaching, Dance, and Physical Education Elementary Teaching. The Master of Arts in Physical Education offers two emphasis areas - Teaching/Coaching and Kinesiology.
- The Division supports a number of labs for instruction and research purposes. Labs include biomechanics, exercise physiology, psychomotor behavior, strength & conditioning, and wellness.
- The Division has a robust scholarship program. Each year, two outstanding students also receive national recognition by AAHPERD.
- Physical Education Majors' Club provides opportunities to get involved by sharing ideas, attending socials and conventions, and having fun.
- Research Teams offer the opportunity for experiential learning through student driven lines of research.
