Biography

Born and raised in Virginia . Undergraduate degree obtained at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Taught elementary physical education for the Lynchburg (VA) public schools. Masters of Science degree awarded by the University of Tennessee , taught in several of the Knoxville Tennessee Public Elementary Schools, and later received a Ph. D from The University of Iowa. Became a faculty member of the University of Northern Iowa in the Fall of 1976. Major responsibilities have included teaching the elementary physical education methods and materials classes and various activity classes.
