January  Athletic Training Students of the Month

Congratulations to Kaity Johnson and Maka Stewart, the January co-Athletic Trainer Students of the month.

Kaity is a senior and and her clinical experience is with Waterloo West High School and Dave Fricke.

Maka is a senior and her clinical experience is with Columbus High School and Scott Lockard.

December Athletic Training Students of the Month

Congratulations to Elizabeth Schroeder and Chatara Davis, the December co-Athletic Trainer Students of the month.

Elizabeth is a senior and her clinical rotation is with UNI Women's basketball and Dawn Jacobson.

Chatara is a second year student and recenlty completed her clinical experience with Wartburg College and Amanda Ellson, Tim Koberna and Emily Link.

November Athletic Training Student of the Month

Congratulations to Krystin Winker, the November 2012 Athletic Trainer Student of the month.

Krystin is a senior and her clinical experience is with UNI softball and Keri Sotak.

October Athletic Training Student of the Month

Congratuations to Dustin Billups and Alyssa Tendall, the October 2012 co-Athletic Trainers of the month.

Dustin is a senior and his clinical experience this year has been with UNI football and Travis Stueve, Andy Jedlicka and Keri Sotak.

Alyssa is also a senior and her clinical experience has been with UNI Men's basketball and Don Bishop.

September Athletic Training Students of the Month

Kristen O'Donnell and Kayla Roof

Kristen's current rotation is with UNI Volleyball and her preceptor is Megan Brady.  Kristen is from Ankeny, Iowa and is in her third year of the ATEP program.  She plans to attend graduate school at Des Moines University next fall and major in Physical Therapy.  Kristen says, "I have enjoyed the opportuntiy to learn from a variety of preceptors in many different settings and meeting Kayla Roof".

Kayla's hometown is Ames, Iowa.  She is also in her third year.  Her current rotation is at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.  Her preceptors are Amanda Ellson, Tim Koberna and Emily Link.  Kayla is undecided about future plans.  Kayla comments, "I have thoroughly enjoyed by third year rotation.  I love being able to make lasting relationships with my athletes.  I enjoy all the hands on clinical learning expenses.  And meeting Kristen my first year".

August Athletic Training Student of the Month

Danny Drees

Danny Drees is the August Athletic Training of the Month.  Danny is from Earlville, Iowa and is a second year student in the UNI Athletic Training Education Program.  His clinical experience this year (and one of his most memorable) was with the UNI football preseason camp. Danny's professional rotation is with UNI Strength & Conditioning.  He is looking forward to his rotation experience with men's basketball later this semester.
