Betty Hogan

Administrative Assistant for Educational Leadership Programs

Mrs. Betty Hogan joined the Department of Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Postsecondary Education in 2006. Her duties are coordination of the principalship and superintendent programs. Prior to her work at UNI, Hogan served as a business education teacher and also as principal at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. During her last eight years in school administration, Hogan served the Dubuque Community Schools as the Executive Director of Human Resources until summer 2004.


Mrs. Hogan lives in Waverly with her husband Mike, a retired school administrator. They have two grown sons, Tim, who lives in Minneapolis, and P.J., who is an assistant men's basketball coach at UNI.


As part of UNI Educational Leadership's ongoing professional learning, faculty members have participated in StrengthsQuest through the Gallup Organization.  This process had allowed Educational Leadership team members to identify their unique strengths.

Mrs. Hogan's strengths are: Empathy, Developer, Harmony, Positivity, Adaptability.
